Women in the World

My friend and former policy classmate's status message: 

Watching a documentary about women in the world who are forced to get married to strangers, raped by in-laws, or kidnapped for forced marriage.  It reminds me that I am obliged to pay back what I could take advantage of by becoming an intellectual and powerful woman to dedicate myself to social policy and practice.

I love this.  We all need to remember the power we were given simply by being born under our own personal circumstances.
